9 July 2022
An extraordinary and wonderful day, Saturday morning in the
Tarpon Springs Historic District near downtown Tarpon Springs,
Florida!
Weather prediction was afternoon rain, so I left home early,
arriving here by 10 a.m. My plans? To visit the Saint Michael
Shrine, Holy Icon of Saint Michael Taxiarchis (the Archangel
Michael), and then a visit to the legendary Hella’s Bakery and
Restaurant!
My first stop was the Saint Michael Shrine,
Holy Icon of Saint Michael Taxiarchis (the Archangel Michael)
at 113 Hope Street, Tarpon Springs, Florida. |
|
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are ON-GOING reports of the 500
year old Icon (from Greece) manifests miraculous bells ringing
and other miracles, and is inside the chapel of the Saint
Michael Shrine as follows: If you are inside the chapel
and facing the front wall, there is a small table against the
left side wall, and there are 2 candles on this small table.
Directly above the small table and to the right, hanging on the
wall is the miraculous 500 year old Icon from Greece (the
miraculous Icon is framed and hanging on the wall). There are
reports of on-going manifestations of healing, ringing bells,
and miracles which emanate from this Icon. |

In 1937 the founder of this chapel Maria dim Tslaichis traveled
from her home in Tarpon Springs to Greece with her 4 children,
aunts and uncles. While in Greece she visited her native home in
Symi, Dodecanese, Greece. She visited the Holy Abbey of
Taxiarchis Michael, and gave the Abbot Prior of the Monastery a
donation of $300. The priest gave her this icon, photo below, which she
brought back to Tarpon Springs, Florida. This icon is the
on-going source of many miraculous healings and other miracles
as reported by faithful visitors to the shrine.
Shown in the 3 photos below, the 500 year old “The Icon of Saint
Michael Taxiarchis of Panormiti” an ON-GOING source of miraculous
healings, miraculous ringing bells, and other miracles. On
display at the Saint Michael Shrine, 113 Hope Street, Tarpon
Springs, Florida USA.

Thank you to the divinely miraculous staff at the Saint Michael
Shrine! I have not visited a "brick and mortar" church in about
2 years pandemic, this was a great in person church visit! In
1979, I moved to the Tampa Florida area, and I have visited the
Tarpon Springs Historic District at least 100 times. The first
time I heard about this rare gemstone of a church was about a
year ago. This was my first time to visit, and I loved it! I
love the divine healing energy, peace and beauty here! This church a
wonderful divine lineage to health, healing, prosperity, beauty
and happiness. It is a rare gemstone in the Tarpon Springs
Historic District! The faithful have reported miracles taking
place for decades here. It was built more than 80 years ago to
fulfill the promise an ill 11-year-old boy made to the Archangel
Michael after the Saint saved his life, according to his sister
Goldie Parr.
When I visited the shrine on 9 July 2022, I sat in the shrine
and read (silently to myself) my prayers. Interesting, driving
home alone from the shrine I was in a rural area, and I
distinctly heard the chime of a church bell! There were no
buildings or churches in the area, and my radio was not turned
on. Chiming of church bells is one of the repeat miracles
reported with this shrine. The church bell chime I heard was
distinctive and miraculous!
Admission to the shrine is free. If you like, leave a donation:
when you enter the chapel, to the immediate right inside the
front door there is a small donation box. To the immediate left
inside the front door there is a reservoir of holy water with
small cups.
Free parking to visit this site, park in the unpaved parking lot
behind the church: Turn right (west) onto Grand Boulevard, and
take the first right turn into the parking lot. (I left a note
on the dashboard of my car that I was visiting the Saint Michael
Shrine). |

Hella's Bakery and Restaurant
785 Dodecanese Boulevard, Tarpon Springs, Florida 34689 |
|
Next, just ˝ mile down the street, the legendary Hella’s
Bakery and Restaurant at 785 Dodecanese Boulevard.
At 11 am the bakery was well stocked with every dreamy dessert
you can imagine. Thank you for all you do, to the owners and
staff at Hella's who are miraculously talented and dedicated!
The Restaurant was already completely full of people enjoying
the incredible foods, with Greek food the specialty. |
|
I quickly selected some wonderful baked goods, and walked
outside noting the storm clouds to the south, on the horizon.
Perfect timing, I was off to run a few errands and back home
again to cherish Greek pastries purchased. They ship baked goods
and foods internationally, to Europe, Asia, the Middle East and
beyond.
Parking at Hella's Bakery and Restaurant; there is a Hella's
parking lot behind (south) of the restaurant, enter the parking
lot from Hope Street. If you spend $30 or more at Hella's, the
restaurant hostess will validate your parking ticket, and
parking is complimentary. Parking is $10 per day without the
validated parking ticket. |
